Some of the queries around the company etc.
Q: Who are livedome's movers and shakers?
A: livedome GmbH was founded in 2007 by Thomas Bank and Andreas Müller together with the wunder media agency. Thomas Bank and Andreas Müller are active directors, with wunder media in the background in a consulting capacity. wunder media produces and markets Germany's most comprehensive event program and special editorial advertising forms.
Q: To what extent does livedome meet the different requirements of its various target customer groups, and is livedome succeeding in effectively interlinking its customers?
A: Yes and yes! One of the special characteristics of livedome's business model is that we realized that live streaming can generate totally different added value for different customer target groups.
Also noteworthy is that, despite the diversity of our customer groups, we are succeeding in interlinking them to the extent that they all benefit -creating strategic partnerships.
Q: The products/services of livedome are inseparably part of a fast changing technology. How can you guarantee that you're always up to date?
A: livedome uses technical equipment to perform its services - as users, we are in the fortunate position of always having access to the most up-to-date products on the market "off the shelf", with no need to develop our own equipment.
Q: What is the relationship between: livedome selecting live acts for guaranteed filming and own marketing and: artists introducing themselves directly or media partners placing firm orders?
A: We are in constant contact with many record labels and together select artists willing to embark on new (online) paths. We are, however, happy to receive special requests by media partners, discuss these and to attempt implementation.
Q: Are there requests you cannot meet, in other words has there ever been a concert or an event that you were very keen on getting, but could not? And: what is the main reason for failure in such cases?
A: In most cases we find interested listeners when we enquire. Of course artists are free to choose what coverage they prefer and if they prefer to remain with the familiar for now - in which case it can happen that we are turned down. But this is still OK, since online coverage still has to establish itself as "obvious" and be "learnt". In view of our ongoing persuasion and our constant and new live streams, the music sector will soon be convinced, however.
Q: There are many streams to be watched, what is so special about livedome's "live" and how do you clearly differentiate yourself from streaming competitors?
A: We distinguish ourselves by being not only purely technical service providers, but a linchpin for artists, the music industry, online media and end users. This is also about linking and persuasion within the individual sectors and is definitely one of our priorities.
Q: Besides mobile phones or IPTV, livedome largely and especially means online. Why then is your own web presence not really addressing potential end user fans who want to browse in the concert and event archives?
A: We are quite clearly not a fan page. But this doesn't mean that we aren't happy about loyal fans and other interested parties browsing around in our archives - primarily, however, we stream live for our customers, i.e. the actual users share the excitement of the events with our media partners. And so our page is designed to meet the specific demands of our customers, just like the streams you can find here. And if these make users happy as well - great!
Q: livedome's team at first glance seems somewhat small, considering the immense and highly coordinated effort required for live coverage of major events? How can livedome also handle major events professionally?
A: Each member of our team contributes totally different expertise - this covers a great deal already. And we work together closely and at the highest level, with an excellent network comprising the most diverse partners: as soon as we notice that our capacities are approaching a limit, we call on these external partners to get on board.
Q: As appealing as the live principle may be, regarding genuine ambiances and impressions - the unpredictability factor is always lurking somewhere. How do you assure advertising and media partners that everything will run smoothly, i.e. what would you do if something happens on stage that would definitely have been cut had the transmission been time-delayed, to rescue participant images from impairment?
A: The combination of live act and direct Internet transmission naturally involves a certain residual risk, but everyone wishing to work with us is aware of this - and this of course is precisely what makes live streaming so exciting. Based on our experiences to date, we can say that, despite a degree of unpredictability, everything works out really well in most cases.
Q: The range of what is streamed is very broad and has no specific focus. Isn't this somewhat like dabbling?
A: No, not at all. We focus on providing the most diverse of customers with an ideal advertising environment, or creating added value for their users, through selected top-class live streams. And to optimally meet the requirements of this focal point in all cases, we cannot but be highly versatile - the latest Brit-pop band doesn't appeal to every customer; here an aria by an international star may be appropriate, or the best comedy mix. There is therefore no risk of watering-down; on the contrary, we offer customer-oriented diversity that we are constantly expanding.
Questions for end users below
Q: What does it cost to see a concert?
A: A user can generally see a concert free of charge.
Q: Who carries the transmission costs?
A: The transmission costs are financed from advertising revenue.
Q: Can I download the live stream?
A: For legal reasons, we are not permitted to offer the live stream for download.
Q: Is recording permitted?
A: livedome  only has transmission rights, therefore any form of recording and archiving is prohibited.
Q: Can a concert also be viewed at a later stage?
A: Provided livedome has on-demand rights for a concert, this may also be viewed on our homepage after the live transmission.
Q: Why are some concerts password protected?
A: Some labels only grant us live rights, thus unfortunately preventing us from making these available afterwards.
Q: Which Internet browser should we use?

Q: What are the prerequisites for my computer?
A: It should have at least 512 MB RAM and a 2 GHz processor.
Q: How fast should my Internet connection be?
A: We recommend a broadband connection of at least 1 Mbit.
